From the northeast: Take I-85 south to Clairmont Road (exit 91). Turn left (south) at the exit. After you cross North Druid Hills road, you'll pass the Veterans' Administration Hospital (tall and blue on your right), go under a railroad bridge, and pass a tall condominium building on your left. (You'll pass Athens Pizza Express just before the Veterans Hospital; this is not our meeting place.) Then a short space of houses and apartments, and Athens Pizza is the last of the group of shops and restaurants on your left. It's four miles from I-85 and 0.7 miles past the Veterans' Hospital. Turn left onto Powell Lane just after passing Athens Pizza, then immediately left into Athens Pizza's parking lot. If you cross North Decatur Road you've gone too far.
From the northwest: Go south on I-75 until it meets I-85 north of downtown; then get onto I-85 going north. Exit at Clairmont Road (exit 91). Turn right (going south) at the exit; then follow the directions in the paragraph above.
That way is faster than the Freedom Parkway directions I gave awhile ago, but there is probably an even better way to to get to Athens Pizza from Marietta. If you figure out what it is, let me know and I will add your directions to this page.
From the east: Take I-285 to the Highway 78 exit, exit 39b for Decatur. Highway 78 merges into Lawrenceville Highway, which becomes Scott Boulevard. At the six-way intersection (you'll be between North Decatur Presbyterian and Scott Boulevard Baptist Churches) turn right onto North Decatur Road - not hard right into Medlock Drive. Take North Decatur to Clairmont, then turn right (north). Athens Pizza is just after the first light, on your right. If you pass the Veterans' Hospital you've gone too far.
From the west or south: Take I-75/85 to the Freedom Parkway/Georgia Highway 10/Carter Center exit (exit 248c). Go east on Freedom Parkway, past the Carter Center exit, to Ponce De Leon Avenue. Turn right (east) onto Ponce De Leon and go straight until you reach Briarcliff Road. Turn left (north) onto Briarcliff and go straight until you reach North Decatur Road. Turn right (east) and go until you reach Clairmont road, then left (north). Athens Pizza is just after the first light, on your right. If you pass the Veterans' Hospital you've gone too far.
MARTA: From Decatur MARTA station take bus #19
Clairmont and get off one stop north of North Decatur. (On Saturday
it is possible to take bus #19 from Brookhaven station, and bus #36
from Arts Center or Avondale stations. Get off at the intersection
of Clairmont and N. Decatur. Remember however that these routes do
not run on Sundays!)

The Atlanta Lodge is located at 3600 DeKalb Technology Parkway near the intersection of I-85 and Chamblee Tucker Road. Take I-85 to Exit 94 and go west one block to DeKalb Tech Parkway, turn left onto Chestnut Drive, then turn right to enter Northgate Office Park. The Lodge is in Building 3600, Suite 115.
